Dentures for missing teeth...
If you are missing some or all of your teeth, one popular solution is to have a partial or full denture. Replacement teeth are attached to a gum-coloured plastic base and is designed to mimic the look of your natural teeth and gums. Sometimes we will connect the denture to a metal framework to make it more secure in the mouth.
A denture helps to restore chewing functions and will also support cheeks and lips for a more youthful appearance. Your denture is tailor-made to fit snugly over your gums and for your convenience is fully removable.
Denture stabilisation..
Thanks to modern dentistry, there is now a procedure whereby a denture can be fixed to your jaw with dental implants. This treatment is called denture stabilisation and because it facilitates normal eating and chewing, can improve your quality of life significantly.
You will require surgery to have the implants placed into your jaw. Once they have integrated with the bone and surrounding tissues, your dentures are placed on top of the implants with special fixtures meaning that they are very stable, yet still removable for cleaning.
